We are excited to welcome Tracy Brekke to the team!  Tracy moved to Big Sky two years ago. As a Montana native and a lifelong skier, living in Big Sky has been a goal of hers for many years.

She has been doing ceramics for about twenty years, working with tiles for the last ten years. Tracy uses clay from the Archie Bray Clay Business in Helena.  The clay is rolled out and the picture designed and cut into the clay.  The clay is dried and fired to the bisque stage, then each piece is glazed and the tiles are fired again.  Tracy and her husband, Dave, custom make the frames and set the tiles into the frames using thinset material.  The tiles are grouted and ready for use.  The tiles can be used inside and outside, although if displayed outside they do best when not directly exposed to the weather.

Tracy and her husband have two grown sons and an Airedale  Terrier and an Irish Terrier.  She is a ski instructor at Moonlight Basin, Big Sky.  She is always interested in custom work, so if you have an idea, she would love to work with you on a design.  Tracy has done tables, backsplashes and countertops in addition to her tile pictures.
